Job Duties:

  • Participate in the ongoing evolution of our existing enterprise SaaS application, to provide a better experience for end users
  • Working within our existing application framework, provide creative input, expertise and technical methods
  • Make a significant impact by working directly with the company and product owners, developers and other team members to improve upon an existing strong enterprise application with an extensive national user base
  • Perform business and data requirements gathering and data analysis tasks
  • Identify and document relevant data design, process and specification issues
  • Understand business context and problems and communicate them clearly in written and oral format
  • Work with the business users to understand and document functionality requirements
  • Develop in Oracle PL/SQL environment using Oracle databases
  • The PL/SQL developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex database objects, ensuring all modules satisfy end user requirements and business needs
  • The developer will also collaborate with other technical team members to understand and develop new technical solutions.
  • The developer will be involved in all areas of the of the software development lifecycle including design, build, test, deploy, and support.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Have 4+ years of Oracle development using SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions (with 10g or 11g required)
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, ETL, SQL and query tuning
  • Oracle 11g/12c PL/SQL, Toad, SQL PLUS, SQL Developer, or any other PL/SQL development tools
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Experience with web application development
  • Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with database architecture, administration, and performance tuning in a web-based application environment
  • Knowledge of relational database design with Oracle database administration a plus
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex software problems
  • Knowledge of Healthcare IT including EHR/EMR preferred
  • Experience working in a small team to build and enhance complex enterprise software applications
  • Green card or US Citizenship required

IT & Security Administrative Assistant

Position: IT & Security Administrative Assistant – Norfolk, Va.

Description: Welligent, a fast-growing Electronic Health Record (EHR) software vendor based in Norfolk, VA., is seeking an IT & Security Administrative Assistant to coordinate software and hardware procurement and provisioning, manage and track software licensing and renewals, and assist with HIPAA and security initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to provide day-to-day support to the CIO and IT Department, develop or improve IT and security policies and procedures and ensure compliance by Welligent staff and subcontractors. Welligent provides EHR and mobile applications to behavioral, providers, human service agencies and educational entities nationwide. Welligent has two offices in Norfolk but has remote employees and equipment in multiple states. Job Duties

  • Responsible for facilitating the purchase of approved hardware and software purchases under the direction of the CIO
  • Responsible for hardware/software/asset management, including assistance with procurement, inventory, hardware and software documentation, annual reviews, patching licensing and other responsibilities across company departments, especially as they relate to HIPAA security
  • Responsible for the proper inventory of all company IT hardware and software assets
  • Provide overall management of third party desktop and cloud software licenses and renewals; contract verification and maintenance under the direction of the CIO
  • Manage the provisioning of hardware and software across company departments
  • Supports employee on-boarding process through identification and procurement of needed computing environments and related office productivity tools and software, initial setup of hardware and software for new employees and ensuring proper setup or shipping to Welligent employees
  • Provide initial triage of Welligent employee hardware and software issues and interface with Welligent’s desktop/laptop/local network maintenance and support contractor (this position is not responsible for all PC maintenance or issue resolution for Welligent employees)
  • Responsible for performing Customer Relationship Management tasks and activities for Welligent’s primary vendors; Working with Welligent’s Office Manager and under the direction of the CIO, communicate with vendors regarding accounts payable and collections
  • Serve as initial point of phone contact for external calls to Welligent’s IT department, route calls appropriately
  • Stay current with Welligent’s software products and respond to internal and external calls from Welligent’s Support Team and customers related to HIPAA, security and technical aspects of Welligent’s software products
  • Support CIO in documentation related to on-going monitoring of Welligent’s software products, cloud hosting infrastructure, databases, desktop/laptops, and servers
  • Provide support to CIO related to Welligent’s HIPAA policies and procedures, audits, employee and sub-contractor testing, compliance and reporting tasks
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for IT department

Preferred Experience, Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Solid knowledge of HIPAA requirements and HIPAA compliance planning and execution
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record software a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office including experience with MS Project
  • Ability to prioritize the needs of diverse stakeholders which will include executive–level, technical resources, and end users
  • Excellent organizational and project planning skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be detail oriented and self motivated and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
