Oracle Web Developer

Position: Oracle Web Developer

Description: Welligent, a fast-growing Electronic Health Record (EHR) software vendor based in Norfolk, is seeking an experienced Oracle programmer to develop and support custom-developed SaaS applications. Welligent provides a comprehensive, enterprise software solution which comprises practice management, clinical, billing and reporting functions. Welligent also supports native iOS and Android apps which provide mobile solutions to our customers. Welligent works with community-based behavioral/health and human services providers in more than 30 states. Job Duties:

  • Participate in the ongoing evolution of our existing enterprise SaaS application, to provide a better experience for end users
  • Working within our existing application framework, provide creative input, expertise and technical methods
  • Make a significant impact by working directly with the company and product owners, developers and other team members to improve upon an existing strong enterprise application with an extensive national user base
  • Perform business and data requirements gathering and data analysis tasks
  • Identify and document relevant data design, process and specification issues
  • Understand business context and problems and communicate them clearly in written and oral format
  • Work with the business users to understand and document functionality requirements
  • Develop in Oracle PL/SQL environment using Oracle databases
  • The PL/SQL developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex database objects, ensuring all modules satisfy end user requirements and business needs
  • The developer will also collaborate with other technical team members to understand and develop new technical solutions.
  • The developer will be involved in all areas of the of the software development lifecycle including design, build, test, deploy, and support.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Have 4+ years of Oracle development using SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions (with 10g or 11g required)
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, ETL, SQL and query tuning
  • Oracle 11g/12c PL/SQL, Toad, SQL PLUS, SQL Developer, or any other PL/SQL development tools
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Experience with web application development
  • Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with database architecture, administration, and performance tuning in a web-based application environment
  • Knowledge of relational database design with Oracle database administration a plus
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex software problems
  • Knowledge of Healthcare IT including EHR/EMR preferred
  • Experience working in a small team to build and enhance complex enterprise software applications
  • Green card or US Citizenship required
  • Any non-local candidates must be willing to cover any costs associated with relocation and travel to and from Norfolk, Virginia.

EHR/EMR Project Manager

Position: EHR/EMR Project Manager

Job type & benefits: Full‐time, health and dental insurance, 401K retirement

Description: Welligent, a fast-growing Electronic Health Record (EHR) software vendor, is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing the entire customer EHR implementation lifecycle for assigned projects. This project resource shall serve as the primary customer point of contact and is responsible for managing all aspects of the customer implementation including project plan development, task/timeline development, monitoring and completion, customer invoicing and QA on the final product. As part of Welligent’s Project Management Office (PMO), this resource has ownership of customer discovery, business analysis, configuration and knowledge transfer for Welligent customers. Responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan. Upon completion of the implementation, the Project Manager is responsible for closing the project and transferring to Welligent Support.

Project Manager Duties:

  • Following Welligent’s implementation process and procedures, responsible for the efficient and successful implementation of all assigned customer projects
  • Responsible for the customer success and satisfaction with the Welligent software implementation process
  • Responsible for personal time management and tracking all direct and indirect time and activities for projects using the Welligent Portal
  • Responsible for regular reporting on project activities including weekly and monthly status reporting on assigned customer projects and non‐customer activities
  • Through both Welligent-provided training and independent learning, responsible for staying current on all Welligent software products and functionality at a detailed level
  • Independently initiate and implement quality improvements related to the software implementation process, documentation, software functionality
  • Deliver onsite customer training and knowledge transfer prior to go live
  • 25% + travel required

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of EHR/EMR software implementation experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Behavioral Health Clinical/Financial background a preferred
  • Software / EHR training a preferred
  • Knowledge of Welligent Software a plus
  • Proven ability to lead software implementation projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to maintain a balance between independently owning decisions and accommodating stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and written skills utilizing various media and methods for communication
  • Experience with business productivity software (eg, Microsoft Office suite), Project Management and CRM software tools (eg, MS Project)
