Description
Welligent, a growing software company providing electronic health records solutions to the behavioral/mental health market, is seeking an experienced Business Manager to oversee all areas of accounting and finance. Based on Norfolk, VA, Welligent provides complex software ASP solutions to mental health and behavioral health agencies throughout the country. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Manager who can "hit the ground running", possessing deep proficiency with QuickBooks, cash flow management, collections, and monthly financial statements. This person will be required to manage all in-house finance duties, as well as coordinate with external accountants in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. In addition, this person will be asked to manage office operations, which includes everything from supply maintenance to HR administrative duties. Accordingly, we are seeking someone with the expertise and disposition to handle sensitive information with a high level of professionalism and discretion. Specific Duties
A/R & A/P
- General ledger entries
- Customer invoicing
- Collections
- Contract administration/compliance
- Scheduling & deposits
- Detailed data entry, reconciliations and reporting using QuickBooks
Finance, Budgeting & Banking
- Coordinate with Sr. Management on budget reports
- Manage outside banking relationships
- Reconciliation of all outside financial statements
- Monthly coordination with outside accountant
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Cash flow management
Office Admin
- Purchasing of office supplies, capital expenses, etc.
- Vendor, accountant and general customer relations
- Building maintenance
- Travel arrangements
Human Resources (tax and benefits-related HR duties)
- 401k administration
- Payroll taxes
- W2's
- Health care plan admin
- Insurance policies
- State compliance & unemployment
- Employee compliance
Preferred Experience
- College degree
- Professional experience managing day-to-day A/P and A/R operations
- Proficient in QuickBooks (proficiency test to be administered during interview process)
- Professional experience managing/organizing an office environment
- Minimum of 3 references required
